Robbery of J.P. Morgan Chase Bank Branch in New Orleans


The FBI and NOPD request the public’s assistance in identifying the individual who robbed the J.P. Morgan Chase Bank located at 201 St. Charles, New Orleans, Louisiana. Just after noon today, a black male entered the bank and presented a demand note to a teller threatening he had a weapon. He got an undisclosed amount of money and fled the bank to Gravier Street heading in the lake bound direction on Gravier.

The robber was described as a light-skinned black male, approximately 20-25 years old, and 5’4”-5’6” tall. He wore a yellow construction vest, a khaki fishing hat, a dark long-sleeved shirt, khaki pants, and sunglasses. A bank surveillance image of the robber is posted below.

Anyone with information about this bank robbery is asked to call the FBI at 504-816-3000. The Metropolitan Orleans Bank Security Association (MOBSA) is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of this bank robber.

The public is asked to visit the website www.bandittrackerneworleans.com, featuring color photos and descriptions of this and other bank robbers and fugitives throughout the FBI’s New Orleans Division to see if they can assist the FBI in identifying and/or locating the captioned wanted individuals.
