North Platte Woman Pleads Guilty to Drug Charge

U.S. Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that Louella Mae Bohman, age 46, of North Platte, Nebraska, appeared before U.S. District Judge Roberto A. Lange on July 5, 2011, and pled guilty to an indictment that charged her with conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance and distribution of a controlled substance. The maximum penalty upon conviction is 20 years’ custody, a $1,000,000 fine, or both; three years of supervised release; and a $100 special assessment to the Victim Assistance Fund. Restitution may also be ordered.

The charge relates to the sale of methamphetamine by Bohman on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in 2010.

The investigation is being conducted by the Northern Plains Safe Trails Drug Enforcement Task Force. The case is being prosecuted by Special Assistant United States Attorney Ted L. McBride. Bohman was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshals.

A presentence investigation was ordered, and a sentencing date was set for September 26, 2011. The defendant was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals pending sentencing.
