Man Indicted for Possessing Child Pornography

Yesterday in the District of Minnesota, a federal indictment was unsealed alleging a 28-year-old man possessed a videotape containing child pornography. The indictment, which was filed under seal on March 22, 2011, charges Delmarcus Deante Johnson, no known address, with one count of possession of child pornography. It was unsealed following Johnson's initial appearance in federal court.

The indictment specifically alleges that on June 10, 2010, Johnson, also known as Delmarcus Eugene Joseph, possessed a videotape containing visual depictions of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct. If convicted, Johnson faces a potential maximum penalty of 10 years in prison. All sentences will be determined by a federal district court judge.

This case is the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Brooklyn Center Police Department. It is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David P. Steinkamp.
