June 11, 2010 - ATLANTA—Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Brian D. Lamkin, FBI Atlanta, requests public assistance in identifying and locating the individual responsible for today’s armed robbery of the Chase Bank, located at 3695 Cascade Road, Atlanta, Georgia.
On Thursday, June 10, 2010, at approximately 10:53 a.m., the Chase Bank, located at 3695 Cascade Road, Atlanta, GA 30331 was robbed by a lone suspect described as a black male, late 20's to mid 30's, 5'06 - 5'09", 220 - 230 pounds, stocky build, wearing a red baseball cap, a black tee-shirt with a design on the front showing two large multi-colored hand prints and the word "COOGI," black pants, and black sneakers. The suspect presented a demand note and displayed a black semi-automatic hand gun during the robbery. The suspect fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash in a silver mini-van with multiple bumper stickers visible on the back.
Today's robbery may be related to the 4/22/2010 robbery of Wachovia Bank at 2280 Cascade Road, Atlanta, GA 30331. During that robbery a lone suspect presented a demand note and showed a handgun. The suspect in that robbery was described as a black male, late 20's to mid 30's, 6'00" to 6"02", approximately 200 pounds, stocky build, wearing a black and gold Pittsburgh Pirates baseball cap, tan colored polo style shirt, and dark pants. The suspect, having obtained an undisclosed amount of money, fled the bank in a burgundy car.
