June 22, 2010 - San Diego FBI Special Agent in Charge, Keith Slotter, announces the arrest of Christopher Boyd Cutcliff, age 42, of National City. Cutcliff was arrested early Sunday morning, June 20, 2010, at approximately 1:00 a.m. in the vicinity of the 3800 block of Rosecrans, without incident. Cutcliff was arrested by U.S. Marshals Deputies working with the FBI and San Diego Police Department.
Christopher Boyd Cutcliff was arrested pursuant to a federal arrest warrant based upon a complaint charging him with robbing the Point Loma Credit Union, 3003 Highland Avenue, Suite C, National City, California, on June 11, 2010.
On Friday, June 18, 2010, a news release was issued asking for the public’s assistance to locate Cutcliff. Following the issuance of this release and subsequent dissemination to the public by local media outlets, the FBI received information which contributed to locating and subsequently arresting Cutcliff.
Cutcliff is expected to be booked into the Metropolitan Correctional Center, pending his appearance before a U.S. Magistrate Judge.
An arrest itself is not evidence that the defendant committed crimes charged. The defendant is presumed innocent until the government meets its burden in court of proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
