Dangerous Sexual Predator Sought by Texas Department of Criminal Justice

Marvin Munson, black male, age 52, 5’09” tall, 180 lbs.

In 1987, Munson was sentenced to 50 years for burglary of a habitation with intent to commit aggravated sexual assault as a result of incidents that occurred in Smith County, Texas. In 1986, Munson forcefully entered a residence and forced a 9-year-old boy into oral sex. During this same time frame, Munson forcefully entered another residence and forced an 8-year-old girl into oral sex by putting a knife to her throat.

He was released on parole in 2008, but he cut off his electronic monitor and went missing. He was arrested three weeks later and returned to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. In March 2010, Munson was again released on parole and was residing at the Beaumont Transitional Treatment Center in Beaumont, Texas. On 3/02/2010, it was discovered that Munson had removed his electronic monitor and had gone missing. He may have remained in the Beaumont area, traveled to the Houston area, or left the state.
