Philadelphia Man Charged With Traveling to Egypt for the Purposes of Engaging in Illicit Sexual Conduct

March 19, 2010 - Omar Rashaad Bey, a United States citizen, was charged today by Indictment with four counts of traveling to Egypt for the purposes of engaging in illicit sexual conduct and three counts of engaging in illicit sexual conduct in foreign places, announced United States Attorney Michael L. Levy.

YEAR OF BIRTH: 1977

If convicted the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of ninety (30) years imprisonment, a $1,750,000 fine, lifetime supervised release and a $700 special assessment.

The case was investigated jointly by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Immigration and Customs Enforcement and is being prosecuted by Special Assistant United States Attorney Josh A. Davison.
