Wanted Cocaine Seller Found by CBP in USVI

St. Thomas, Virgin Islands – US Customs and Border Protection officers identified yesterday afternoon Arlington Perez-Martinez, 31, having an outstanding warrant for charges of cocaine possession, with the intent to sale, from Hazelton, Pennsylvania.

Mr. Perez-Martinez presented himself for CBP inspection at the Cyril E. King Airport before boarding a Seaborne Airlines flight bound to San Juan.

Computer systems alerted of a positive match to a National Crime Information Center (NCIC) docket.

CBP Officers in St. Thomas confirmed the warrant from Hazelton Police.

The custody of the subject was transferred to the Virgin Islands Police Department for extradition proceedings and was transported to the VI Bureau of Correction.

CBP Officers detect many individuals wanted by authorities in the continental U.S., upon their arrival to the USVI or their return to the mainland from Puerto Rico and the USVI.
