A Cahokia man was sentenced to one year and a day in federal prison on April 8, 2011, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, Stephen R. Wigginton, announced today. Octavius Harris, 22, of Cahokia, Illinois, received a one year and a day sentence for false statement during the purchase of a firearm, and falsely making obligations of the United States.
