Scranton, PA – Today, U.S. Marshal Martin Pane announced the
arrest of Chloe Isaacs, a 21-year-old woman, wanted for kidnapping to inflict
injury and other related offenses.
On June 3, Deputy U.S. Marshals and task force officers assigned
to the U.S. Marshals Service’s New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force
(NY/NJ RFTF) arrested Isaacs without incident at a residence in Utica, NY.
Isaacs was turned over to local authorities pending extradition back to
Pennsylvania.
It is alleged that on October 5, 2014 Isaacs played a role
in the vicious attack on a female. The victim was kidnapped, beaten, had her
throat slit and left for dead in a wooded area in Luzerne County. On June 2, an
arrest warrant was issued in Luzerne County by Magisterial District Judge
Michael G. Dotzel, charging Isaacs with kidnapping to inflict injury, unlawful
restraint/serious bodily injury, false imprisonment, simple assault and
recklessly endangering another person.
United States Marshal Martin J. Pane stated, “This
significant arrest takes a dangerous suspect off the streets, and provides the
victim with some measure of justice.”
The USMS worked jointly in this investigation with personnel
from the Pennsylvania State Police, Scranton Police Department, Utica Police
Department and the USMS NY/NJ RFTF.
