Medal of Valor Nomination Period Opens

Beginning May 29, nominations will be accepted for the 2014-2015 Public Safety Officer Medal of Valor, the highest national award for valor given to a public safety officer. Nominations must come from the chief executive officer of an agency, and are reviewed by a bipartisan review board and cited by the U.S. Attorney General. Nominees must have exhibited exceptional courage, regardless of personal safety, in an attempt to save or protect human life.
