VALOR Initiative Special Bulletin

The VALOR Initiative has released a Special Bulletin regarding the sharp increase in ambush attacks and line-of-duty deaths resulting from gunfire in November. The bulletin highlights the increase in ambush attacks of more than 300 percent over last year and includes information on officer safety training and resources to help keep officers safe. The Bureau of Justice Assistance created the VALOR Officer Safety Initiative in 2010. VALOR provides all levels of law enforcement with tools to help prevent violence against law enforcement officers and to enhance officer safety, wellness and resiliency.
