Robbery of First American Bank Branch in Maysville


OKLAHOMA CITY—James E. Finch, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Oklahoma and Garvin County Sheriff Larry Rhodes announce the robbery of the First American Bank branch located 317 6thth Street in Maysville, Oklahoma.

At approximately 11:03 a.m., an unknown male entered the bank and showed the teller a note demanding money. The note was handwritten and stated, “Give me all the cash in your drawer now.” The teller complied with the robber’s demand and fled the bank on foot in an unknown direction. No one was injured in today’s robbery, and no weapon was seen.

The robber was described as a white male, approximately 5’5” in height with a heavy build. He was wearing a baseball cap, dark blue T-shirt, sunglasses, and jeans.

The robbery is being investigated by the FBI, Maysville Police Department, and the Garvin County Sheriff’s Office.
