Robbery of Comerica Bank Branch at the Gulfgate Mall in Houston


FBI Releases Bank Surveillance Photo

The Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the armed gunman who robbed the Comerica Bank located at 200 Gulfgate Mall in Houston, Texas, earlier this today. The bank’s surveillance video captured a photo of the gunman during the robbery.

At approximately 3:35 p.m., the man entered the bank and approached the teller counter. The robber handed the teller a threatening note that demanded money. Then, he pulled out a pistol and showed it to the teller. The teller gave the gunman some cash. The suspect was last seen leaving the area in a black Chevrolet sedan with tinted windows. No one was physically hurt during the robbery.

The gunman is described as a black male, 5’6”-5”8” tall, 150 pounds, and having a light mustache and goatee. He wore a white T-shirt, black hat, and black sunglasses.
