FBI Releases Photographs of a Vehicle of Interest in Connection with Coral Gables Fire


Seeks Public Assistance for Information

MIAMI—The FBI is seeking the public’s assistance to identify a vehicle of interest or for any information possibly related to the fire in a travel agency at 815 Ponce De Leon Boulevard in Coral Gables, Florida, during the early morning hours of April 27, 2012.

A fire marshal report indicated that the fire was deliberately set.

The joint investigation of the arson includes the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives; the Coral Gables Fire Department; and the Division of State Fire Marshal Bureau of Fire and Arson Investigation. The Miami-Dade Police Department and city of Miami Police Department have also provided support during this investigation.

The public is being asked for information that may lead investigators to a suspect or the car of interest. Anyone with information should contact the FBI at (305) 944-9101, ATF at (305) 597-4800, Coral Gables Fire Department at (305) 471-TIPS, or State Fire Marshal at 877-662-7766.

On April 27 at approximately 3:30 a.m., Coral Gables firefighters responded to reports of a building fire at 815 Ponce De Leon Boulevard. Firefighters had the fire under control within minutes. There were no injuries.
