ATF Offers $5,000 Reward in Gun Store Burglary

17 Firearms Stolen From Qwik Cash Pawn

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) announced today a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the burglaries of Qwik Cash Pawn, a federally licensed firearms (FFL) dealer, located at 625 N Murray Blvd, Colorado Springs, Colo.

On Jun. 27, 2011, during the early morning hours, forcible entry was made into Qwik Cash Pawn and 7 firearms were stolen. On Feb. 5, 2012, Quick Cash Pawn was once again burglarized and 10 firearms were stolen. Investigators have reason to believe that these two separate incidents are related and are asking for additional information from the public that may assist them in this investigation.

“ATF will work aggressively to find the person responsible for the theft of firearms from any federally licensed firearm dealer,” said Marvin Richardson, Special Agent in Charge, Denver Field Division. “Firearms are the tools of the trade for criminals who look to cause irrevocable harm to others in our community.”

The burglary at Qwik Cash Pawn is being investigated by the ATF Colorado Springs Field Office and the Colorado Springs Police Department. Anyone with information about this crime should contact the following agencies:
