Activity in the United States Attorney’s Office: Sentences

Shaun Segle, 46, of Columbus, Georgia, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on September 19, 2011, for theft or bribery concerning programs receiving federal funds. Segle received two years’ probation and was ordered to pay a $1,000.00 fine and restitution in the amount of $10,590.00. This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command.

Humberto Morales-Romero, 28, of Mexico, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on September 19, 2011, for illegal re-entry of a previously deported alien into the United States. Morales-Romero was arrested in Jackson, Wyoming. He received time served plus 10 days, was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment, and is subject to deportation upon release from custody. This case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Antonio Alvarez-Hernandez, 28, of Mexico, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal on September 19, 2011, for illegal re-entry of a previously deported alien into the United States. Alvarez-Hernandez was arrested in Basin, Wyoming. He received time served plus 10 days, was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment, and is subject to deportation upon release from custody. This case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Robert Thomas Black-Bonnet, 46, of Rawlins, Wyoming, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on September 19, 2011, for felon in possession of a firearm. Black-Bonnet received 180 months of imprisonment, to be followed by five years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment and a $1,000.00 fine. This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Francisco Sosa, 45, of Casper, Wyoming, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on September 16, 2011, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute at least 500 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine. Sosa was arrested in Casper, Wyoming. He received 192 months of imprisonment, to be followed by five years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

Lawrence Rowland (25), Lyle Hartman (25) and Geran Milton (24), all of Casper, Wyoming, were sentenced by Federal Magistrate Judge R. Michael Shickich on September 6, 2011, for unlawfully rolling rocks down canyons and trespassing—unauthorized dumping or abandonment of personal property. The defendants were arrested in Casper, Wyoming and each received six months’ probation, were ordered to perform 32 hours of community service and each are to pay a $1,000.00 fine. This case was investigated by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation.
