Seeking Information on Wells Fargo Bank Robbery


March 5, 2010 - On Thursday, March 4, 2010, at approximately 9:30 a.m., the Wells Fargo Bank located at 4705 Chicago Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota, was robbed by two individuals. The robbers entered the bank wearing masks and brandishing handguns, ordered all bank employees and customers to the ground, then vaulted the teller counter. They then ordered the tellers to open their cash drawers and turn over their money. After the tellers complied with the demand, both robbers grabbed the cash and fled the bank on foot. They were last seen running north after exiting the bank.

The first robber is described as a black male in his early to mid 20’s, approximately 6’0” – 6’5”tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a black ski mask, a gray coat, and black shoes.

The second robber is described as a black male in his early to mid 20’s, approximately 5’8” – 5’9”, with a medium build. He was wearing a black ski mask, a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, and thin black gloves.

Ralph S. Boelter, Special Agent in Charge of the Minneapolis Office of the FBI, requests that anyone with information regarding this bank robbery contact the Minneapolis FBI at 612-376-3200, the Minneapolis Police Department, or Crime Stoppers. A reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and indictment of this bank robber.
