WICHITA, KAN. – A Kansas man pleaded guilty today to
committing an armed robbery at a Family Dollar in south Wichita, U.S. Attorney
Stephen McAllister said.
Toney D. Williams, 25, Wichita, Kan., pleaded guilty in
federal court to one count of robbery. In his plea, he admitted that on Oct. 1,
2019, he displayed a handgun when he robbed a Family Dollar at 2301 S. Seneca.
Sentencing is set for April 13. Both parties have agreed to
recommend a sentence of 84 months in federal prison.
McAllister commended the FBI, the Wichita Police Department,
the Safe Streets Task Force and Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron Smith for their
work on the case.
