ATF, Firearms Industry Offer Reward in Lima Gun-Store Burglary

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) – the trade association for the firearms industry – are announcing a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the burglary of Hesseling & Sons, located at 2818 Elida Rd., Lima, Ohio.  ATF is offering a reward of up to $2,500, which the NSSF will match for a total potential reward of $5,000.

On Nov. 22, 2018, at approximately 4 a.m., two unidentified individuals entered the business and took approximately 30 handguns.

ATF is investigating this case jointly with the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.

Anyone with information about this crime should contact ATF at 1-800-ATF-GUNS (800-283-4867) or the Allen County Sheriff’s Office at 419-229-7867.  Information can also be sent to ATFTips@atf.gov (link sends e-mail), through ATF’s website at www.atf.gov/contact/atftips.
