Harrisburg, PA - Today, U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane
announced the arrest of Jayson Allan Halterman, a 42-year old man formerly of
Lititz, Pennsylvania and John F. Kennedy, a 37-year old man formerly from
Emmitsburg, Maryland.
On June 23, 2016 Northern Lancaster County Regional Police
obtained an arrest warrant for Halterman. Halterman is charged with Robbery and
Terroristic Threats for an incident that occurred at a residence in 900 block
of Pine Hill Road in Warwick Township. Today, at the request of York City
Police Department members of the Task Force responded to the 200 block of West
Jackson Street and arrested Halterman.
On June 14, 2016, Cumberland Township Police Department
obtained an arrest warrant for Kennedy. Kennedy is charged with Criminal Solicitation
- Disseminate Photo/film of Child Sex Acts and Criminal Solicitation - Criminal
Use of Communication Facility. This morning members of the task force located
and arrested Kennedy in the 600 block of West Broadway Street, York without
incident. Both Halterman and Kennedy were turned over to local law enforcement
pending judicial proceedings.
“It is important to bring those charged with preying on our
citizens’ to justice.” said U.S. Marshal Pane “It is my hope that the victims
and family members in these cases will find comfort knowing that both suspects
are now in custody.”
The USMS Fugitive Task Force in the Middle District of
Pennsylvania is comprised of 21 state, county and local police agencies
covering all 33 counties of the district.
