U.S. Marshals Arrest Suspect in Greensboro, NC for Assaulting a Police Officer With a Vehicle



Greensboro, NC - On June 3, 2016, Bradley Teres Gilmore, a 25 year old male, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force (JFTF) and the High Point Police Department. On May 11, 2016, warrants were issued for Gilmore for felony assault with a deadly weapon on a government official and misdemeanor flee to elude arrest.

On April 29, 2016, the Greensboro Police Department was conducting a DWI checkpoint. The Greensboro police officer who approached Gilmore at the checkpoint began to suspect that Gilmore may be driving under the influence. As the officer sought to further investigate, Gilmore allegedly fled in the pickup truck that he was driving. The officer was struck by the vehicle at that time, but was not injured. Gilmore eluded arrest after a brief pursuit.

On June 3, 2016, the JFTF developed information that Gilmore was at the Crestwood Suites located at 501 Americhase Drive in Greensboro, North Carolina. Gilmore was taken into custody without incident and placed in the High Point Jail under a $12,500 bond.

The U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force for the Middle District of North Carolina is comprised of investigators from the U.S. Marshals Service, Chapel Hill Police Department, Durham Police Department, Greensboro Police Department, High Point Police Department, Winston-Salem Police Department, Alamance County Sheriff’s Office, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, Department of Community Corrections – Probation & Parole and the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
