Belen, NM - On June 23, 2016 the Belen Police Department
arrested Melvin Lopez in Belen, NM. Lopez was placed on the United States
Marshals Service District of New Mexico’s Most Wanted list June 10, 2016 and
since that point the Marshals Service in New Mexico have been investigating
Lopez’ whereabouts. Lopez was wanted by the Albuquerque Police Department for
Aggravated Burglary (Deadly Weapon) and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. In
addition, Lopez picked up new charges of Resisting and Evading Law Enforcement,
Obstructing Law Enforcement, and Concealing Identity.
