ANDRES VILLALVA-GUADARRAMA, age 53, a Mexican citizen living
in Gretna, was sentenced after previously pleading guilty to a one-count Bill
of Information for illegal use of a Social Security Number.
U.S. District Judge Eldon E. Fallon sentenced
VILLALVA-GUADARRAMA to time served and a $100 special assessment.
According to court documents, VILLALVA-GUADARRAMA, for the
purpose of obtaining employment and for other purposes, knowingly and with
intent to deceive, did falsely represent on an U.S. Citizenship and Immigration
Services Employment Eligibility Verification Form that a Social Security Number
not issued to him, was assigned to him.
U.S. Attorney Polite praised the work of the Department of
Homeland Security/ICE in investigating this matter. Assistant United States Attorney Irene
González was in charge of the prosecution.
