Eugene Man Sentenced for Trafficking a 15-Year-Old

PORTLAND, OR—Adam David Zimmer, 35, was sentenced to 121 months in federal prison today by U.S. District Judge Michael H. Simon after pleading guilty on May 15, 2012, to a superseding indictment charging him with the sex trafficking of a minor and employing a minor in drug operations. Zimmer was also sentenced to 10 years of supervised release. A restitution hearing was set over to January 4, 2013.

The federal charges arose in November of 2011 when a Lane County Sheriff’s Deputy, assigned to the Drug Enforcement Agency Task Force, received information that Zimmer was dealing drugs to children and prostituting young girls. Later, in early December 2011, two 15-year-old girls told deputies about a time when they were at Zimmer’s house and he offered them cocaine, marijuana, and ecstasy pills. Zimmer also solicited the girls to work as prostitutes by telling them that he would pay each of them $100 every time they went on a date. During this time period, deputies learned that Zimmer also had an adult woman, identified as “Queen,” working for him as a prostitute.

On December 5, 2011, deputies instructed an informant to send a text to Zimmer asking if he had any young girls available to meet at a local hotel. Zimmer replied that he did and began speaking directly with an undercover deputy about sending two girls. In several lengthy recorded conversations, Zimmer described how he could make several different young girls available to the deputy for prostitution. He referred to the girls as “Prosti-Tots” and said they were full service and would do whatever he wanted.

Eventually, Zimmer explained that “Blondie” identified in the superseding indictment as 15-year-old B.O., was the only girl available and that she would cost $500 for one hour. Zimmer also described how Blondie was “super loaded” from eating psilocybin mushrooms. When the deputy told him that he had never used mushrooms before, Zimmer offered to send a bag of mushrooms as well as condoms with Blondie to the hotel. He went on to say that he would include the cost of the mushrooms in the total $500 price. When Zimmer arrived at a local hotel with Blondie, he was arrested for compelling prostitution. A search of Blondie’s person and bags produced a bag of psilocybin mushrooms and condoms.

This case was investigated by the FBI, Eugene Police Department, and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Kemp L. Strickland.
