Robbery of J.P. Morgan Chase Bank Branch in Houston


FBI Releases Bank Surveillance Photos

The Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the bank bandit who robbed the J.P. Morgan Chase Bank located at 9704 Katy Freeway in Houston, Texas, earlier this evening (June 5, 2012). The bandit was dressed like a woman, wearing a blonde wig and a beige dress. However, many witnesses believe the robber was a man in disguise. Bank surveillance video captured photos of the bank bandit during the robbery; these photos are below.

At approximately 4:45 p.m., the bank bandit entered the bank and approached the teller counter. The robber handed the teller a threatening note that demanded cash. Then, the robber gestured with his/her hands, as though he/she was concealing a weapon. No weapons were seen by the tellers. The robber got some cash and exited the bank. No one was physically hurt during the robbery.

The robber is described a black male or female, 5’5”-5”8” tall, 120-150 pounds, with a dark complexion. The robber wore a blonde wig, a long-sleeved beige dress, black stockings, and a black cap. The robber carried a large black purse into the bank during the robbery.
