FBI
Releases Bank Surveillance Photos
The Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force
is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the bank bandit who robbed
the J.P. Morgan Chase Bank located at 9704 Katy Freeway in Houston, Texas,
earlier this evening (June 5, 2012). The bandit was dressed like a woman,
wearing a blonde wig and a beige dress. However, many witnesses believe the
robber was a man in disguise. Bank surveillance video captured photos of the
bank bandit during the robbery; these photos are below.
At approximately 4:45 p.m., the bank
bandit entered the bank and approached the teller counter. The robber handed
the teller a threatening note that demanded cash. Then, the robber gestured
with his/her hands, as though he/she was concealing a weapon. No weapons were
seen by the tellers. The robber got some cash and exited the bank. No one was
physically hurt during the robbery.
The robber is described a black male or
female, 5’5”-5”8” tall, 120-150 pounds, with a dark complexion. The robber wore
a blonde wig, a long-sleeved beige dress, black stockings, and a black cap. The
robber carried a large black purse into the bank during the robbery.
Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000
for information leading to the charging and arrest of this robber. If you have
information about this case, please call the Crime Stoppers tip line at
713-222-TIPS (8477) or the Houston Office of the FBI at 713-693-5000.
