Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force Arrest Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive

U.S. Marshal Albert Najera, of the Eastern District of California, announced today that the U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force (PSWRFTF) arrested 56 year old Paul Joseph Borreson.  This subject was added to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives on May 9, 2012.

Borrenson was wanted by the Texas Department of Public Safety for a Parole Violation with an original offense of Forgery.  He also had outstanding warrants in four other states to include South Dakota, Minnesota, Indiana, and Texas.  Borrenson has been identified as a member of the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas and was considered to be armed and dangerous.

The Texas Department of Public Safety originally reached out to the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force who in turn contacted the U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force, Fresno Division.  Acting on a tip, task force officer responded to the Fresno Rescue Mission and observed a subject matching Borrenson’s description.  The officers made contact with the subject who initially provided a different name; upon further investigation the man was identified as the wanted fugitive.

Borrenson was booked into the Fresno County Jail where he will await extradition back to Texas to face the outstanding charges.

The Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force is a U.S. Marshals-sponsored partnership comprised of investigators from federal, state, and local agencies.  The main objective of the task force is to seek out and arrest fugitives charged with violent crimes, drug crimes, sex offenders, and other felonies.  More fugitives are arrested annually by the U.S. Marshals Service than all other federal agencies combined.
