Federal Inmate Enters Plea and is Sentenced in Federal Court


CLARKSBURG, WV—An FCI Morgantown inmate entered a plea of guilty and was sentenced on June 7, 2012 in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Magistrate Judge John S. Kull.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that Ali Itayim, age 53, entered a plea of guilty to one count of possession of a prohibited object (cell phone) on November 17, 2011, at FCI Morgantown. The staff at FCI Morgantown found a cell telephone inside a box of laundry detergent in Itayim’s locker. Itayim was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment to be served consecutively with his current 195-month sentence.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Brandon S. Flower and were investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Special Investigative Services at FCI Gilmer.
