Out With the Old in With the New

Roswell, NM - United States Marshals Service in New Mexico is taking one of the New Mexico’s Most Wanted off the list today and adding a new fugitive. Martin Duran, a Roswell “CRAZY TOWN” gang member, was located in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Bernalillo County where he is awaiting trial. Once Duran faces his charges from the state he will be transferred to United States Marshals Service custody.

Duran will be replaced by Andres Juarez Garcia. Garcia is wanted for state probation violations and is a lifelong gang member. Originally Garcia was a member of “SURENO” gang in the state of Washington before moving to Roswell and becoming affiliated with the “Little Valley Locos” gang. Garcia was arrested in January 2008 for receiving a stolen vehicle and sentenced to a year and 8 months probation. Garcia has absconded and failed to comply with the terms of his probation since 2008. Garcia was stopped in Artesia in November of 2010 but he used an alias to avoid being arrested. During the traffic stop Garcia was found in possession of a firearm and since has been indicted by the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives for Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

Garcia is considered to be armed and dangerous. The United States Marshal for the District of New Mexico Conrad Candelaria said “Garcia is a threat to the safety of New Mexico’s residents and his lifelong career as a gang member has earned him a spot on the New Mexico’s Most Wanted list.”
