According to the indictment, on November 16, 2010 , Cooper mailed a letter to the Comanche County District Attorney’s Office, addressed to the Comanche County District Attorney, which contained a white powder and a note written in red pen stating “GOD SAVE US.” The Indictment further alleges that Cooper mailed the letter from the Geo Lawton Correctional Facility in Lawton , Oklahoma with the intent to convey a threat
If convicted, Cooper faces up to five years in federal prison, a fine of up to $250,000, and a period of supervised release of up to three years. The public is reminded that the indictment is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. These charges are the result of an investigation conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Comanche County Sheriff’s Office, and the Lawton Police Department. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Andre’ Caldwell .
