PITTSBURGH - A resident of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, pleaded
guilty in federal court to one count of distribution and possession with intent
to distribute cocaine, United States Attorney Scott W. Brady announced today.
Rickee Dawkins, 52, pleaded guilty before Chief United
States District Judge Mark R. Hornak on February 12, 2019.
Judge Hornak scheduled sentencing for June 7, 2019, at 1:30
p.m. The law provides for a total sentence of not more than 30 years in prison,
a fine of not more than $2,000,000, or both. Under the Federal Sentencing
Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed is based upon the seriousness of the offense
and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.
Assistant United States Attorney Robert C. Schupansky is
prosecuting this case on behalf of the government.
Rickee Dawkins was the final remaining defendant identified
in an investigation into the distribution of cocaine conducted by the FBI
Greater Pittsburgh Safe Streets Task Force (GPSSTF). The GPSSTF is comprised of
dedicated law enforcement professionals from the Wilkinsburg Police Department,
Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Bureau of Narcotics Investigations, Allegheny
County Sheriff’s Office, Allegheny County Police Department, Pittsburgh Bureau
of Police and the FBI.
