Harrisburg, PA – Today, U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane
announced the arrest of Jonathan Rosado-Rodriguez, a 25-year old man, on the
charge of homicide.
On July 17, 2015, Rosado-Rodriguez was charged by the
Commonwealth of Puerto Rico for the homicide of Radames Moran-Ramos, which
occurred on July 11, 2011 in Barceloneta. On July 27, 2015, an investigative
lead was sent to the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force in the Middle
District of Pennsylvania with information that Rosado-Rodriquez may be in the
York City area.
Earlier today, after a brief foot chase the U.S. Marshals
Service Fugitive Task Force arrested Rosado-Rodriguez hiding in a residence in
the 200 block of South Queen Street in York, PA. Rosado-Rodriguez was turned
over to local authorities pending his extradition to Puerto Rico.
United States Marshal Martin J. Pane stated, “The
coordination and cooperation demonstrated by law enforcement in this case led
directly to a dangerous fugitive being taken off the streets. It is our top
priority to arrest violent crime fugitives, especially those who have no regard
for human life.”
The United States Marshals Service worked jointly in this
investigation with personnel from the York County Sheriff’s Office and the York
City Police Department.
