BUFFALO, N.Y. - U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr.
announced today that Jacob Tunison, 30, of Olean, NY, who was convicted of
receipt of child pornography, was sentenced to serve 188 months in prison by
U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Wei Xiang, who handled the case,
stated that in November of 2018, Tunison used Facebook to communicate with a
minor female who was less than 16 years old. The defendant sent numerous lewd
images of himself to the minor and solicited the minor to produce and send
various images of herself to him.
The sentencing is the result of an investigation by the Cuba
Police Department, under the direction of Chief Dustin Burch, and the Federal
Bureau of Investigation, Jamestown Office, under the direction of Special
Agent-in-Charge Gary Loeffert.
