JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – A resident of Altoona, Pa. has been
sentenced in federal court in Johnstown to 80 months in prison and ten years’
supervised release on his conviction of distribution of child pornography,
United States Attorney Scott W. Brady announced today.
United States District Judge Kim R. Gibson imposed the
sentence on Kenneth Scott Boyd, 35.
According to information presented to the court, on June 2,
2016, Boyd distributed material depicting the sexual exploitation of a minor.
The computer graphic files were shipped or transported in interstate or foreign
commerce.
Assistant United States Attorney Stephanie L. Haines
prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.
Mr. Brady commended the Laurel Highlands Resident Agency of
the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Altoona Police Department for the
investigation that led to the successful prosecution of Boyd.
