Scranton, PA - Today, United States Marshal Martin J. Pane
announced the arrest of Jonathan Connor, 34, in Columbia Cross Roads, Pa.
On March 29, 2016, the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and
Parole obtained an arrest warrant charging Connor with violating his parole by
leaving a community correction center in Harrisburg without authorization. On
May 17, 2016, the Pennsylvania State Police also issued an arrest warrant
charging Connor with violation of the Megan’s Law for failure to register.
Connor was convicted in 2012 of unlawful contact with a minor which required

Columbia Cross Roads area. Deputy Marshals and fugitive task force officers
located and arrested Connor at a residence on Lookout Road. Also located inside
the residence was Tahmir Hammond who was wanted by the Pennsylvania Board of
Probation and Parole for violating his parole. Both were arrested and lodged at
the Bradford County Jail.
United States Marshal Martin J. Pane stated, “As the lead
federal agency responsible for the arrest of non-compliant sex offenders, we’re
committed to investigating Megan’s Law violators and Adam Walsh Act fugitive
cases and bringing those violators to justice.”
The USMS worked jointly in this investigation with personnel
from the Pennsylvania State Police, Scranton Police Department, Bradford County
Sheriff’s Office and the Sayre Borough Police Department.
