Tennessee Fugitive Arrested in Brown Summit, NC by U.S. Marshals



Brown Summit, NC - On Thursday July 21, 2016 at approximately 3:00 p.m., Jeremy Brown was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force (JFTF). Brown was indicted by a federal grand jury in the United States District Court in the Western District of Tennessee charging Brown with possession of a firearm by a felon.

Information was received by the JFTF that Brown, who is an over the road truck driver, was in the area of Corporate Park Drive in Brown Summit. Upon locating Brown in his 18-wheeler, the JFTF initiated a felony traffic stop. Brown is currently in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service and is awaiting an initial appearance before a magistrate judge.

The U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force for the Middle District of North Carolina is comprised of investigators from the U.S. Marshals Service, Chapel Hill Police Department, Durham Police Department, Greensboro Police Department, High Point Police Department, Winston-Salem Police Department, Alamance County Sheriff’s Office, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, Department of Community Corrections – Probation & Parole and the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
