Deputy U.S. Marshals Arrest Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive

Albuquerque, NM - On July 19, 2016 Deputy U.S. Marshals assigned to the District of New Mexico Albuquerque Office arrested fugitive Tommy Dale Sells Jr.

Sells Jr. was wanted by the Potter County Sherriff’s Office, in Amarillo, TX for (2 Counts) Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child under 14 (2 counts), and (2 counts) Indecency with a Child by Contact. The Texas Department of Public Safety issued a $10,000 reward for Sells based on the significance of the crimes against children. Sells Jr. had been on the run since May of 2013 and was located though coordinated law enforcement efforts, across multiple jurisdictions and safely apprehended on the 300 block of Virginia St NE, Albuquerque, NM.

United States Marshal Conrad E. Candelaria said, “Inter-state boundaries do not impede on the effectiveness of the Unites States Marshal Service to pursue dangerous fugitives and return them to the jurisdiction where the heinous crimes were committed so they can be held accountable. Regardless of the jurisdiction where the crime is committed, no community is safe until the fugitive is apprehended, incarcerated and sentenced, because no child should have to live in fear”.
