Greensboro, NC - The hunt for the person accused for taking
the life of Sanna Manneh, 32, of Durham is over. On November 18, 2015, at
approximately 10:52 PM officers of the Durham Police Department responded to
533 Liberty Street & Place in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival
officers discovered Ms. Manneh in the driver’s seat of a running vehicle
fatally shot. Authorities discovered what appeared to be multiple bullet holes
in the vehicle. On December 29, 2016, an arrest warrant was issued for Jamol
Louis Dixon, a 26 year old male, charging him with First Degree Murder.
On January 13 2016, the U.S. Marshals Joint fugitive Task
Force (JFTF) developed information that placed Dixon at an apartment located at
750 North Columbia Street in Chapel Hill. Their efforts paid off when the JFTF
verified Dixon’s whereabouts. The JFTF surrounded and converged on the
residence taking Dixon into custody without incident. Dixon was transported to
the Durham County Jail where he is currently being held on the alleged charges.
The U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force for the Middle
District of North Carolina is comprised of investigators from the U.S. Marshals
Service, Immigration Customs and Enforcement, Chapel Hill Police Department,
Durham Police Department, Greensboro Police Department, High Point Police
Department, Winston-Salem Police Department, Alamance County Sheriff’s Office,
Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol and the
North Carolina Department of Public Safety, Department of Community Corrections
– Probation & Parole.
