San Juan, PR - On December 18, 2015 the United States
Marshals Service Puerto Rico Violent Offenders Task Force (PRVOTF) arrested 41
year old Eduardo Esteras- Rosado, aka “JUN”, in Humacao, PR. Esteras-Rosado was
wanted on a federal warrant for money laundering and narcotics distribution
after been indicted by the Department of Homeland Security in 2011and 2014.
On several occasions Esteras-Rosado had avoided apprehension
by federal authorities by driving at high speed and by constantly changing
vehicles and locations. At the time of his arrest, Esteras-Rosado was at a
residence located in an exclusive coastal residential gated community known as Palmas
Del Mar. The arrest of Esteras-Rosado is the result of a long and arduous
investigation effort led by the USMS Puerto Rico Violent Offenders Task Force.
United States Marshal Orlando Rivera commended the
outstanding effort of the fugitive task force and stated, “This case shows the
determination and commitment of our deputies and task force agents and brings a
clear message to fugitives that the United States Marshals Service and the
Puerto Rico Violent Offenders Task Force will continue to bring them to justice
one by one.”
The Puerto Rico U.S. Marshals Violent Offenders Task Force
is comprised of investigators from the U.S. Marshals Service, the Puerto Rico
Police Department, the San Juan Municipal Police, the Department of
Corrections, PR State Marshals and the State Internal Revenue Service.
