The United States Attorney Kenyen Brown announces that
Donterrio Evans, a 30 year old resident of Mobile, was sentenced today. Mr. Evans pled guilty on May 22, 2014, to
possession of a .40 caliber Smith & Wesson pistol found in his possession after
police arrested him on unrelated robbery charges. At that time, Mr. Evans had been convicted of
Receiving Stolen Property. As a
convicted felon, he was prohibited from possessing firearms.
Officers of the Mobile Police Department along with special
agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives investigated
the case and presented it to the U.S. Attorney=s Office for prosecution. The prosecutor assigned to the case is
Assistant United States Attorney, Gina S. Vann.
