Tennessee Man Arrested on Child Molestation Charges

ATLANTA—Special Agent in Charge Brian D. Lamkin, FBI Atlanta, announces, on behalf of the FBI’s Northwest Georgia Safe Child Task Force, the following arrest yesterday evening at Chatsworth, Georgia:

Justin Mack, age 22, of Smyrna, Tennessee, was arrested yesterday, March 12, 2011, by FBI agents and officers of the FBI’s Northwest Georgia Safe Child Task Force, at Chatsworth, Georgia, on state charges of attempted child molestation. Mack came to the attention of undercover law enforcement agents/officers via the Internet regarding his efforts to arrange for sex with a minor child. Mack was arrested after he traveled from Smyrna, Tennessee to Chatsworth, Georgia in furtherance of those efforts.

Mack is being held at the Murray County, Georgia Detention facility.

The public should be reminded that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
