Wells Fargo Bank Robbery

The Denver Police Department and the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force (RMSSTF) are investigating a bank robbery.

The robbery occurred at:
  • Wells Fargo Bank
  • 7800 East Hampden Avenue
  • Denver, Colorado
  • 12/28/2010, 10:06 a.m.
The suspect is described a white male, approximately 5’7” in height, approximately 50 years of age, weighing roughly 240 lbs., the individual was scruffy with salt and pepper colored hair.
The suspect was armed with what appeared to be a stun gun and a knife.
The RMSSTF have believes this to be the “Sparky Bandit.”
The suspect demanded money and fled the bank.
Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.
The FBI continues to provide financial institutions with the best practices for security to make them less vulnerable to robberies.
