Stanislaus County Business Owner Sentenced to Four Years in Prison for Racketeering

FRESNO, CA—United States Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner announced today that Robert C. Holloway, 62, of Turlock, was sentenced today by United States District Judge Oliver W. Wanger to four years in prison for racketeering. The defendant pleaded guilty on June 22, 2010 to racketeering, which included trafficking in stolen motorcycle parts, extortion and conspiracy to obstruct justice. In sentencing the defendant, Judge Wanger stated that “one of the disturbing aspects of this case is that Mr. Holloway called upon current and former law enforcement officers to give him information or a heads up” to aid him in his racketeering enterprise.

This case is the product of an extensive/joint investigation by the Central Valley Gang Impact Task Force, a task force comprised of state and federal law enforcement agencies, including the Modesto Police Department, the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department, the Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Office, and the FBI. Assistant United States Attorneys Mark E. Cullers and Laurel J. Montoya prosecuted the case.
