“Bicycle Bandit” Now Suspected in at Least Six Area Bank Robberies

The FBI Bank Robbery Task Force needs your help in identifying a man now suspected of robbing at least six Houston area banks. The latest occurred at the Comerica Bank located at 15701 Kingfield Drive in Houston Texas, on 09/07/2010.

At approximately 1:46 p.m., the man entered the bank, and gave a threatening demand note to one of the tellers. The note stated “I have a gun… put all the money in the bag or I will shoot you”. The teller provided him with some cash. He fled the bank on foot in an unknown direction. No getaway vehicle was observed. No one was physically hurt. In other bank robberies, the robber was seen getting away on a bicycle.

The “Bicycle Bandit” is described as a black male, 37-42, approximately 5’9”-6’0” tall, with a slim build and a bald head. During the robbery, he wore a black shirt with a blue design on the front and dark jeans.
