National Seminar and Tabletop Exercise for Institutions of Higher Education Set for November



Registration opened September 12 for the 2016 NTTX set for Nov. 16-17, 2016, at the University of Illinois at Chicago. The event, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, includes:
  • Workshop sessions focusing on campus violence, including active shooter and other threats.
  • Tabletop exercise using a facilitated discussion.
  • Deliberative session following the exercise to develop long-term decision-making lessons.
The DHS Office of Academic Engagement and FEMA request input on workshop session topics that reflect campus resilience issues or trends that impact the college and university community and also align with DHS core missions. Submit topic nominations to AcademicEngagement@hq.dhs.gov through September 16. Nominations must include title, a brief description of the topic and a short biography of the proposed speaker(s)/presenter(s). Please include the following subject line in your message: 2016 NTTX Workshop Session Topics Nomination.
