JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – An inmate at Moshannon Valley Correctional
Center in Philipsburg, Pa., pleaded guilty in federal court in Johnstown to a
charge of possession of a prohibited object in prison, and immediately
following, was sentenced to two months in prison, United States Attorney Scott
W. Brady announced today.
Zhivrago McBride, 38, pleaded guilty to the indictment
before United States District Judge Kim R. Gibson.
In connection with the guilty plea, on August 17, 2018,
McBride possessed a seven-inch sharpened piece of metal attached to an ink pen.
Assistant United States Attorney Arnold P. Bernard, Jr.
prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.
Mr. Brady commended the Laurel Highlands Resident Agency of
the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Moshannon Valley Correctional Center,
Special Investigative Staff, for the investigation leading to the successful
prosecution of McBride.
