ERIE, Pa. - A former resident of Erie, Pennsylvania, has
been sentenced in federal court to three years (36 months) in prison on his
conviction of bank robbery, United States Attorney Scott W. Brady announced
today.
United States District Judge Susan Paradise Baxter imposed
the sentence on Peter Plaza, Jr., 37.
According to information presented to the court, on or about
December 13, 2018, Plaza entered the Northwest Bank, located at 3407 Liberty
Street in Erie, and by force, violence and intimidation took $4,750.
Assistant United States Attorney Christian A. Trabold
prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.
United States Attorney Brady commended the Federal Bureau of
Investigation and the Erie Police Department for the investigation leading to
the successful prosecution of Plaza.
