ATF Offers Reward in Longs, S.C. Homicide Investigation



CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) has announced a reward up to $7,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Rainy Franklin Valentine.

On April 30, 2017, around 3:58 a.m., multiple shots were fired into a residence located at 501 Freemont Road, Longs, S.C. Subsequently, 57-year-old Rainy Franklin Valentine was shot and killed inside the residence. The suspect(s) fled the scene and remain unidentified.     

This violent crime is being investigated by ATF Charlotte Field Division and the Horry County Police Department. ATF along with our law enforcement partners are committed to ensuring that our communities are safe, and that those who commit violent crimes such as this are held accountable.
