Salinas, CA - Agustin Leon-Palomares, age 30, was arrested
by the U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force along with
the assistance of the Salinas Police Department and the Santa Cruz County
Sheriff’s Office, late Monday night in Salinas, CA and is currently in the
Monterey County Jail.
Agustin Leon-Palomares had warrants out of Santa Cruz County
and Monterey County for terroristic threats, felon in possession of a weapon,
and other charges. Last week, U.S. Marshals attempted to arrest Agustin
Leon-Palomares in the 1300 block of Cherokee Dr. in Salinas, CA which led to a
long standoff situation. A specialized team which consisted of U.S. Marshals
Task Force Members, Salinas Police Department, and the Santa Cruz County
Sheriff’s Office continued to work around the clock searching for Agustin
Leon-Palomares. Agustin Leon-Palomares was located at the Americas Best Value
Inn, based off of tips provided by the community.
