ATF Announces Increased Reward to $15,000 for Information Leading to Arson Suspect(s)


PHILADELPHIA – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) today announced an increase in the reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of person(s) responsible for the arson that occurred at approximately 4:15 a.m. on May 1, 2017 at the town house development site at 20th and Warton Streets in South Philadelphia. The ATF has increased the reward on the third year anniversary.  The reward now stands at $15,000.

On May 1, 2017, at approximately 4:15 a.m., a fire was reported at multiple homes under construction at 1308 S. 20th Street.  Investigators from the ATF Arson and Explosives Task Force, Philadelphia Fire Marshal’s Office, and Philadelphia Police Department responded to assist with the fire investigation.  The ATF Arson and Explosives Task Force determined that the fire was arson.

The Task Force is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the following person(s) of interest seen at the construction site/fire location before the fire.  Please take a look at the pictures and video link below to see if you recognize him.  Notice the male is initially wearing a hoodie but will return without the hoodie.

This investigation is being conducted jointly by the ATF Philadelphia Field Office, the Philadelphia Fire Marshal’s Office, and the Philadelphia Police Department.
